Inforpress First Spanish Agency to Sign
UN Global Agreement By joining this initiative, the company shows its commitment to social
responsibility, agreeing to meet the nine principles enacted by the UN, which
are based on the respect for human, labour and environmental rights.
The Inforpress communication and PR consultancy has signed the United Nations
Global Agreement and becomes the first Spanish communication agency to commit
to respecting the nine principles enacted by the UN in the Agreement.
Inforpress is one of a small group of Spanish companies that, by signing the
agreement, have made a commitment to corporative social responsibility: the
defence of human rights, labour regulations, and the respect for the environment.
As part of the company's commitment to carry out social actions, Inforpress
offers discounts of 50% on its training courses to non-governmental organisations
and non profit organisations. In addition, the company also agrees to make charitable
donations equal to 0.7% of its net fee income. In 2003, based on 2002 income,
this amounts to €36,000 (US$43,000).
Founded in 1988, Inforpress offers media, corporate, product, internal, financial
and crisis communication services. With a team of 75 professionals specialised
in auditing, training and the development of strategies and projects, Inforpress
has offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Lisbon. The 14 year old company
is part of PROI, a network of partner agencies in Europe, Asia and the Americas
and offer internal, corporate, product, financial and crisis PR services.
Inforpress is one of the fastest growing agencies in Spain and Portugal and
is ranked 7th by the Spanish Association of PR and Communications Consultancies
(ADECEC) in Spain.
"Our evolution is linked to our commitment to our clients, to understanding
their business and to our keen interest in communication. Our clients' trust
in us has made Inforpress the first independent consultancy of the Iberian Peninsula."
