Jackson Spalding Among Top Twenty "Best
Agencies to Work For" in U.S. Firm recognized for workplace excellence second consecutive year
in The Holmes Report
ATLANTA: Jackson Spalding, the Atlanta-based image creation, cultivation
and communication firm, was named one of the nation's top public relations agencies
to work for in the United States - the 19th best of any size - according to
The Holmes Report, an industry trade publication.
For the second year in a row, Jackson Spalding was the only Atlanta-based agency
to be recognized in the top 20 "Best Agencies to Work For" ranking.
The firm participated in an annual selection process in which more than 4,000
agency employees from 120 agencies nationwide completed an online survey at
The Holmes Report Web site. Employees were asked nearly 60 questions covering
all aspects of their firm's culture, from trust in management to quality of
client service.
The February 9 issue of The Holmes Report said, "Jackson Spalding had
deliberately grown at a controlled pace, investing a significant amount of time
and energy into the hiring process to make sure it brings on board the right
people, and creating an internship program that's a great source of new talent
as well as a mentoring program that shows people the ropes. The firm eschews
titles, respects the need for work-life balance, and expects employees to get
involved in the community in which they operate."
Jackson Spalding received high scores in specific categories, including the
number two national ranking for "Where management is accessible."
Other categories in which the firm scored among the top 10 agencies include:
"Where morale is high" (#5 overall), "Where people have confidence
in management" (#9 overall), and "Where people trust management to
do the right thing" (#9 overall). Jackson Spalding also received a top
20 ranking overall in last year's survey.
"A good workplace comes from hiring good people, developing their careers
and - above all - treating them with trust and respect," said Bo Spalding,
a principal with Jackson Spalding. "We are honored and excited to receive
this recognition. We believe it validates we are doing the right things."
"Each individual is valued. And, as a result, we are productive, respected
and very successful. It's how an agency should be managed," one Jackson
Spalding employee anonymously commented in the survey.
The Holmes Report is published weekly by The Holmes Group, reaching more than
12,000 readers. The Holmes Group exists to provide competitive insight and intelligence
