Seattle PR Firm Establishes Public Relations Education Fund
The Frause Public Relations Education Fund was created for Washington State College Grads who
were members of Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)

SEATTLE, WA.: In support of public relations graduates and their continued professional growth, The Frause Group has established the Frause Public Relations Education Fund. The announcement of the new fund was made recently to the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Puget Sound Chapter Board of Directors.

“The Frause Public Relations Education Fund was established to facilitate PRSSA member’s transition into PRSA,” said Puget Sound PRSA Chapter President Candy Young. “It will pay the first year of national PRSA dues for any 2004 or future graduate from a Washington State university or college that is an active member of the student-focused, PRSSA. We’re grateful to Bob Frause for his educational leadership.” The fund is available to graduates even if they will not be staying within Washington State for their first job.

“This is about giving graduates a head start. We need young people to get involved in PRSA and this gives them a ticket to be active in the profession right out of college,” notes Bob Frause, president of The Frause Group. “It’s about kick starting their career.”

The Frause Public Relations Education Fund will go into effect immediately and is available by application. To apply, go to www.frause.com. The requirements are that the person must be a recent graduate from a Washington state school and a dues paying PRSSA member. The fund does not cover local chapter dues. That will still be the responsibility of the student. Currently it costs $60 for the first year of National dues for any graduating PRSSA member. The cost of local dues varies.

“I challenge any other PR agency in Washington to step up to the plate and subsidize chapter dues,” added Frause. “Or, I encourage any other agency to implement a similar program in their area.”

The Frause Group has an active employee education program. All employees are encouraged by Bob Frause to learn the business side of PR along with fostering their creative side so that they are better

prepared in their careers.
