The Frause Group Brings Public Relations, Marketing Services to Rose City
Seattle PR firm opens second office, adds employee in downtown Portland

SEATTLE (October 3, 2005) – Locally-based public relations, marketing and business analysis firm, The Frause Group, has expanded its operations to Oregon with the September opening an office in Portland’s SE Hawthorne neighborhood.

Agency President Bob Frause said that the seven year-old firm has provided Portland market services to its real estate, construction, professional services and sustainable industries clients for the past few years, but the addition of new Portland-based clients and a Portland-based senior account executive lead to the expansion.

“While we are moving carefully in our growth, hanging a shingle in Portland just feels natural,” said Frause. “We also know that to have a successful relationship with Portland businesses we just couldn’t do it from Seattle, nor could we superimpose our Seattle culture and style on the market,” he said. “We want our presence and client service to be very much about what’s good for our Portland clients and the community.” To that end, the firm has hired local Portland public relations strategist and entrepreneur David Rubin. He will lead the team as a Senior Account Executive.

Rubin is an eight-year veteran of the marketing and public relations industries; four of which have taken place in the Portland metropolitan area. Most recently, Rubin served as an account manager with Cahill Consulting, overseeing several accounts within the real estate, e-commerce, medical services and entertainment sectors.

Prior to Cahill, the New York native served as Marketing Director for the national radio network Air America (heard locally on KPOJ 620 AM) and helped develop Portland based Internet Community Arts Network (iCAN) where he currently sits on the Board of Directors.

With the addition of Rubin, one of Seattle’s largest public relations agencies has blossomed into a Pacific Northwest public relations, marketing and business analysis firm with 11 employees, and a tighter focus on developing long-term partnerships with clients seeking excellent communications counsel.

“It’s been a journey to discover our niche,” added Frause. “Now, we’ve embarked a new stage in our business growth. Luckily, my team thrives on risk. And, I’m glad we are all having fun.”

The Frause Group’s Portland contact information is 3931 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland, OR 97214.

The office phone is (503)467-4686 and the fax is (503)961-7494.
