Bracken Public Relations Off to a
Strong Start in 2006
Bracken Public Relations, the Dublin based Partner of PROI got
off to a strong start in 2006 with a number of new client gains. Theses include
the Irish Offshore Operators Association(IOOA), “An Oige”, the Youth Hostel
Association and Remax First Choice, a regional network of estate agents and
property consultants.
The IOOA represent the interests of a number of energy companies exploring for
gas and oil reserves off the Irish coast. These include Royal Dutch Shell Group,
Marathon International, Ramco Energy, Statoil Exploration, ENI and Total
Exploration.
“An Oige”, which is Gaelic for “youth” operate a network of twenty four hostels
throughout Ireland which offer inexpensive accommodation to both national and
international visitors. This year the Association celebrates its 75th birthday.
Remax First Choice is part of the international Remax real estate franchise.
Bracken PR was retained to raise the profile of a regional network of the
organisation. In 2005 the firm handled PR for their annual conference in Dublin.
Early in 2006, Bracken Public Relations handled financial communications for a
property development company, Taggart Holdings, in their €100m acquisition of a
UK construction company based in the North East of England. The deal generated
significant coverage in the national media in Ireland and in the regional and
trade press in the UK.
“The economic buoyancy of the economy continues to have a positive impact on our
business”, says Brendan Bracken, the firm’s Principal. “These new account wins
broaden the client base of the firm while reinforcing our strong reputation in
the area of financial communications.”
