Clariant: Communications Manual For efficient and consistent communication
int/ext Communications, Switzerland
Clariant is a leading global specialty chemicals company. To ensure a consistent
approach to communications throughout the whole Group and to prepare management
for communication tasks, int/ext Communications was commissioned to outline
and write the Clariant Communications Manual.
The purpose of the Manual is to enable managers on all levels to plan, outline
and ultimate implement their communication activities in line with Group Directives.
Clariant: Communications Manual
The Communications Manual has been formulated for practical use. It offers concise
answers to different communication activities mostly in form of check lists:
How to write a media release? How to respond to queries from media? How to choose
a PR consultancy?
The Manual is divided in different categories:
Communications fundamentals
Target groups and their needs
Target-group-specific communication activities
Checklists
Cooperation with third parties
Special areas
Important addresses
All texts are written in German and English.
The Communications Manual has been implemented at Clariant with great success.
Walter Vaterlaus, who was head of Corporate Communications when the assignment
was commissioned: "Managers who have to fulfill communication tasks got
a practical 'cook book'. The Manual supports them and makes sure that Corporate
Identity and Design is implemented."
