Objectives

Challenge

Ogalala is a system developed by IGM based on play and parenting insights that group together play products or educational toys to develop the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional skills of a child from birth to 12 years old. In 2015, the brand decided to help more moms learn about their play system by creating a Facebook page to engage with them and to be their companion in their children’s development.

Insight

A trusted companion is one that is always there. Fortunately, social media creates communities that always exist, always there for others who are looking for support.

Activities

Execution

To encourage mothers to engage with the page, share their problems, and find practical solutions, our social media marketing agency in the Philippines created the MOM SOS post. It empowered them to air out their concerns and encouraged other mothers to provide help. M2 also posted interactive content, such as free activity sheets, to help in daily parenting. Lastly, we uploaded helpful step-by-step videos demonstrating how moms can maximize the use of Ogalala products and how they can further develop their children’s learning abilities.

Results

Results

At the start of the social media campaign, the goal was to gain 10,000 fans. But at the end of the first year, the page had 20,874 fans. Additionally, the page enjoyed a 12 percent engagement rate, which is 5 percent higher than other retail pages. But far sweeter was the reputation that the brand built. A lot of Filipino moms now recognize Ogalala as their go-to page for advice about their children’s development.
