In May 2011, Atmosphere was awarded as the PR Consultancy of the Year by the well respected South African marketing publication, Adreview. The award was based on business growth, innovation and industry standing.
Over the past three years (2011, 2010 and 2009) Atmosphere has been the most awarded PR consultancy in the country for campaigns that lead to tangible business outcomes.
In March 2011, Atmosphere secured the South Africa Public Relations Institute’s Campaign of the Year for an integrated campaign which we delivered for our airline client during the 2010 FIFA World Cup Campaign using guerilla PR activities, social media and traditional media relations. This campaign went on to secure Atmosphere and its advertising partner a Silver Clio in New York (May 2011).
Other gold public relations awards (PRISMS) secured in 2011 highlight our diversity and in-depth understanding of specific industries.
We secured a gold award for our employee benefit client for its annual industry symposium (category: financial services and investor relations); one for the country’s leading internet service provider for the launch of its uncapped ADSL product (category: technology); a gold for a social media campaign for a chocolate flavoured milk (category: E-media), another one for traditional media relations for international hair care brand, GHD as well as a gold award for public relations on a shoestring for a décor client.
In October 2010, Atmosphere was the first PR company to enter its campaigns for the country’s annual advertising and marketing awards, The Loeries, and three of our campaigns were awarded.
In March 2010, Atmosphere secured four golds at the PRISMS and in March 2009, Atmosphere also walked off with the Public Relations Institute’s Campaign of the Year for financial services client, Sanlam Investment Management.
