Kenya is the economic, commercial, and logistical hub of Eastern Africa. Its young and growing population of 41 million has a large number of well-educated English-speaking professionals, with a strong entrepreneurial tradition. Kenya’s key sectors include financial services, agriculture, construction, services, tourism, and telecommunications. It has recently discovered commercially viable hydrocarbons and has emerged as the regional hotspot for renewable energy capital projects and innovation. The latest Kenya Economic Update (KEU) published by the World Bank in March 2015 is projecting 6-7 % per annum growth over the next three years (2015-2017). This makes Kenya is one of the fastest growing economies in Sub Saharan Africa with a fully liberalised economy, free flow of trade, foreign private investment and ease of transferring money internationally.
